There will be plenty of colour, smiles and community spirit around Mallow this week as volunteers from Mallow Arts Collective take to the streets for the annual Mallow Arts Festival Flag Day collection.
The well-established fundraiser will take place from 9am to 6pm, with volunteers collecting at various locations throughout the town in support of this year’s Mallow Arts Festival, which runs from July 22nd to 26th, 2026.
The Flag Day has become one of the festival’s most important annual fundraising events and plays a major role in helping organisers deliver another packed programme of entertainment and community activities this summer.
Every donation collected goes directly back into the festival and helps organisers continue their commitment to keeping many events free for the public, while also ensuring ticketed events remain affordable and accessible for families and the wider community.
Since launching in 2017, the Mallow Arts Festival has grown into one of the town’s most anticipated annual events, attracting large crowds and creating a vibrant atmosphere throughout Mallow over five days each summer.
This year’s festival is expected to once again feature a diverse programme of live music, art exhibitions, performances, workshops, family entertainment and community events across a number of venues throughout the town.
Festival organisers say the continued support of the local community has been central to the success and growth of the event over recent years.
Mallow Arts Collective has also extended thanks to the many local businesses that continue to support the fundraiser by accommodating volunteers throughout the day.
Organisers are now encouraging the public to support the Flag Day collection if possible, with all donations helping to support an event that continues to bring creativity, culture and visitors into the town each summer.
The collective says they are looking forward to welcoming the community once again for the 9th Mallow Arts Festival this July.
