Mallow’s Dermot Casey Hire & Sales is bringing the future of sports pitch maintenance to the Mallow GAA Sports Complex this August as the company hosts a special Sports Pitch Maintenance Demo Day showcasing the latest advances in turf care technology.
The event, taking place on Monday, August 10, from 2pm to 7.30pm, will give clubs, grounds teams, schools, and sporting organisations the opportunity to see cutting-edge robotic mowing and pitch maintenance systems in action.
Attendees will experience live demonstrations of the Swozi line marking system, ECHO Robotics autonomous mowers, and Segway Navimow robotic mowing technology, while learning how automation is helping transform the way sports facilities maintain their playing surfaces.
With clubs across Ireland facing increasing challenges around volunteer availability, labour costs, and the demand for consistently high-quality pitches, technology is playing an increasingly important role in modern sports turf management.
The Sports Pitch Maintenance Demo Day will showcase how robotic solutions can help deliver professional results while reducing maintenance pressures and allowing grounds teams to focus on other essential tasks.
Visitors will have the opportunity to see the technology operating first-hand, compare different solutions for natural sports pitches, learn how robotic mowing delivers consistent results, and speak directly with robotics and turf specialists about implementation, funding options, return on investment, and the practical benefits for their own facilities.

Recent projects include the installation of an ECHO Robotics TM-2050 at Newtownshandrum GAA, where the machine is maintaining two full-size GAA pitches and a training area.
The advanced system uses GPS RTK precision technology, five cutting heads, 15 blades, and a 103cm cutting width to create accurate mowing patterns and maintain a consistent finish throughout the season.
The company’s robotics team has also completed installations at Charleville Golf Club and Castletroy Golf Club, helping these facilities adopt smarter and more efficient approaches to grounds maintenance.
At Charleville Golf Club, three ECHO Robotics TM-2050 mowers were installed to focus primarily on fairway maintenance, while at Castletroy Golf Club, two ECHO Robotics TM-1050 commercial robotic mowers were introduced to help maintain tee boxes with precision GPS positioning and carefully designed mowing zones.
