Howard Farms, the family-run business based near Kilcanway outside Mallow, has won the Innovative Family Business Award for Munster at the 2026 Irish Family Business Awards, in association with Goodbody.
The award was presented at a ceremony at The Johnstown Estate.
The win marks a special milestone for Denis Howard, who celebrated his first award at the age of 84.
The Howard family have been farming around Kilcanway for almost 200 years. The business was also shortlisted for Agri Family Business of the Year, making it a finalist in two categories at this year’s awards.
Following the win, the business also acknowledged the contribution of its team, who keep the mill operating every day, along with the loyal customers who have supported the family over the years.
The award recognises the continued work of a long-established North Cork family business and its place in the local agricultural community.
