North Cork Teen Alan Brosnan Launches ‘100 Coffees, 100 Owners’ Business Initiative

Duhallow entrepreneur Alan Brosnan has launched a summer-long initiative to meet 100 business owners across Ireland, with the 17-year-old pledging to buy every one of them a coffee.

Dubbed “100 Coffees, 100 Owners”, the Coláiste Treasa student and co-founder of MTMN Digital plans to spend the next three months travelling the country, sitting down with entrepreneurs, founders and business leaders to learn from their experiences and hear the stories behind their businesses.

Rather than seeking investment or pitching ideas, Brosnan says the initiative is focused on learning from people who have built companies, created jobs and navigated the challenges of running a business.

The project will see him meet business owners from a range of sectors, with each conversation centred on the lessons, successes and setbacks that have shaped their entrepreneurial journeys.

Brosnan co-founded MTMN Digital alongside David Walsh. Through MTMN.ie, the Cork-based digital studio develops websites, sales funnels, AI integrations, internal systems and marketing tools for Irish SMEs, helping businesses streamline their operations and strengthen their online presence.

His achievements to date include competing in the BT Young Scientist & Technology Exhibition in 2024, fundraising for the Hope Foundation and travelling to Kolkata in 2025 to visit projects supported through those efforts, as well as reaching the Foróige NFTE National Finals with his business venture, The Quack Shack.

With three months before attention turns towards the Leaving Certificate, Brosnan believes there is no better education than learning directly from people who have built businesses themselves.

Based in Cork but willing to travel nationwide, he is inviting business owners, founders and entrepreneurs from across Ireland to become one of the 100 people he hopes to meet this summer.

The initiative has already generated interest online, with Brosnan hoping to connect with established business leaders and emerging entrepreneurs alike as he continues his own journey in business.
