Pure Cork is inviting tourists, thrill seekers and staycationers to discover the hidden heartlands of North Cork as part of a new showcase campaign highlighting the region’s landscapes, heritage sites and outdoor experiences.
The initiative shines a spotlight on communities stretching from Millstreet to Charleville, Fermoy to Mallow, presenting North Cork as a destination rich in culture, history and outdoor adventure.
Mallow features prominently in the campaign, with Ballyhass Lakes highlighted as a key adventure destination offering lakeside walks alongside activities such as kayaking, paddleboarding, ziplining and high-ropes courses. The area is presented as an ideal starting point for visitors exploring the wider region.
Nearby, Doneraile Estate is showcased for its 160 acres of landscaped parkland, historic Doneraile Court and herds of deer roaming freely across one of Ireland’s most popular heritage parks.
Further along the route, Glanworth is featured for its striking medieval heritage, including Glanworth Castle, Glanworth Abbey and the historic stone bridge over the River Funshion, offering visitors a strong sense of the area’s Norman past.
The campaign also highlights Castletownroche, set along the River Awbeg, with attractions such as Annes Grove Gardens and surrounding woodland walks, alongside traditional village hospitality.
