A new food destination is set to open in the heart of Doneraile this summer, with acclaimed chef Jack O’Keefe leading the culinary vision behind the eagerly anticipated Townhouse Doneraile.
Opening its doors on Friday, May 30th, the new Townhouse Garden Eatery promises a unique mix of gourmet dining, outdoor events, design experiences and local hospitality, all set against the backdrop of one of North Cork’s most scenic heritage locations.
Jack O’Keefe, known for his work in some of Ireland and Europe’s top kitchens, has developed a menu focused on seasonal ingredients and exceptional local produce sourced from across North Cork. Visitors can expect gourmet sandwiches, live-fire cooking experiences and carefully curated dishes that celebrate the region’s farms, growers and artisan food producers.
Located beside the stunning Doneraile Estate and close to the renowned Annes Grove Gardens, the eatery aims to become a central hub for locals and tourists exploring the Ballyhoura region.
The outdoor dining space, sheltered beneath a striking architectural canopy and surrounded by hundreds of acres of biodiversity gardens, is designed to offer visitors everything from a quick coffee stop to immersive food and cultural events.
Townhouse Doneraile says a full calendar of supper clubs, daytime gatherings and evening events will be announced in the coming weeks, with organisers describing the venue as “the place to be for summer 2026”.
Adding to the experience, guests will also be able to enjoy luxury sweet treats from Praline Pastry & Chocolate, while future plans include interior design masterclasses and creative talks curated by the Townhouse team.
The venture is being led by Myra and Ray alongside Jack O’Keefe, with the team promising a blend of refined hospitality and relaxed countryside charm.
Initially, the Townhouse Garden Eatery will operate every Friday, Saturday and Sunday throughout the summer from 9.30am to 5pm, with evening events to be announced separately.
