The Village Table is set to return to Doneraile Townhouse this August, with another unique dining experience planned for the historic Walled Gardens.
After another hugely successful weekend that celebrated the very best of North Cork’s food producers, award-winning chef Jack O’Keeffe has confirmed that The Village Table will return on August 7 and 8, with bookings opening this week.
The announcement comes after guests spent more than five hours gathered around a spectacular long table in the historic Walled Gardens at Doneraile Townhouse, enjoying an evening that blended exceptional food, storytelling and community in equal measure.
Curated by Jack O’Keeffe and his wife Jacqui, the experience celebrated the rich agricultural heritage of North Cork, with every course telling the story of the region’s farmers, growers and producers.
Premium beef from Churchtown and Doneraile featured prominently on the menu, alongside award-winning cheeses from Whitechurch and organic vegetables sourced from producers including Kilbrack Farm, Donnybrook and RowanHill. Every ingredient reflected the philosophy of “food from the parish” — championing local produce and the people behind it.
For Jack O’Keeffe, however, The Village Table is about far more than exceptional food.
Reflecting on the sold-out weekend, he thanked everyone who helped bring the event to life, including his team, family, friends, Doneraile Townhouse and the network of local farmers and producers whose work makes every menu possible.
He also revealed that each Village Table tells a different seasonal story. This time, the inspiration came from Italy, while the theme for the August dates will remain a closely guarded secret until closer to the event.
Set beneath the walls of one of North Cork’s most beautiful heritage settings, The Village Table has quickly established itself as one of the region’s most distinctive culinary experiences. Combining world-class cooking with local storytelling and a celebration of seasonal ingredients, it offers diners an evening that is as much about connection as it is about cuisine.
If social media was anything to go by, those lucky enough to secure a seat last weekend left with unforgettable memories and more than a few envy-inducing photographs.
