A prominent former health centre building in the heart of Mallow is set to go under the hammer later this month with a guide price of €70,000.
The substantial three-storey property, located on William O’Brien Street, extends to approximately 398 square metres (4,284 sq ft) and occupies a high-profile town centre location.
The building, which previously operated as a HSE health centre, comprises office accommodation, waiting areas and ancillary rooms spread across three floors. The property also benefits from a gated front yard and a rear yard with pedestrian access.

The property is being offered for sale by auction through O’Donnellan & Joyce Auctioneers on June 25th.
According to the auctioneers, the building presents a significant redevelopment opportunity and could be suitable for a variety of future uses, including residential conversion, medical services, professional offices, community facilities, educational use or a mixed-use development, subject to the necessary planning permissions.
The former health centre is also expected to qualify for the Vacant Property Refurbishment Grant, a scheme which provides funding towards the refurbishment of vacant and derelict properties. The grant has become an increasingly important tool in bringing underutilised buildings back into productive use across towns and villages throughout Ireland.
Its location in the centre of Mallow is likely to attract interest from investors, developers and owner-occupiers seeking to redevelop a substantial building with a long history of public use.
The auction will take place via live stream at 12 noon on Thursday, June 25th.
