Mallow Castle will take on a spooky atmosphere this Bank Holiday Monday as Malloween returns on 26 October, with families invited to explore a free Haunted Walk through the historic grounds.
Organised by Cork County Council, the event will run from 4pm to 7pm, bringing Halloween-themed decorations, live actors and eerie encounters to one of North Cork’s best-known landmarks.
Visitors will follow a guided route through the castle grounds, where spooky surprises await along the way. Fancy dress is encouraged, with children and adults invited to embrace the Halloween spirit.
An Autism-Friendly Hour will take place from 4pm to 5pm. During this period, background music will be switched off and actors will only interact with visitors who approach them, offering a quieter experience for those who prefer a less stimulating environment.
The Haunted Walk is also accessible to wheelchairs and buggies, helping more families enjoy the event.
Mayor of the County of Cork, Cllr Bernard Moynihan, encouraged families to attend, highlighting the opportunity to enjoy a community Halloween event in the distinctive surroundings of Mallow Castle.
Admission is free and no booking is required. Free parking will be available in Cork County Council car parks in Mallow town.
With its mix of Halloween entertainment, family activities and a historic setting, Malloween offers a Bank Holiday afternoon out for families from Mallow and across Cork.
