Castletownroche’s Drifting Superstar James Deane helped deliver a Make-A -Wish experience dream day for young fan Kyle at Japfest at Mondello Park in Co. Kildare recently.
The five-time Formula Drift champion stepped away from competition duties to spend time with Kyle at the circuit, where the young fan’s wish to experience drifting was granted, including a passenger ride in a Mazda RX-7.
The visit formed part of the wider Japfest programme, with Make-A-Wish arranging the experience at Mondello Park.
Describing the day, Kyle’s mother said: “Incredible day. Emotional day. Super proud of him. We had the best day ever. Absolutely fantastic, dream come true. James Deane you are amazing, thank you for keeping my boy smiling.”
Deane said the experience had a strong personal impact, adding “Kyle is a great young lad. It moved me, the whole experience. He had a great time. It was a dream for me to make a dream come true for Kyle. Absolute pleasure to give such a good experience.”
