Liscarroll’s Aoife O’Sullivan claimed gold in the high jump at the Irish Universities Athletics Association Outdoor Track and Field Championships, held at Munster Technological University, recently.
Competing in front of a home crowd, O’Sullivan delivered another standout performance to take top spot on the podium, adding yet another title to her growing list of achievements.
The result marks a special milestone for the Liscarroll A.C. athlete, who is no stranger to success at university level but was competing on this occasion on home soil, making the victory all the more significant.
Her latest gold continues a remarkable run of form in 2026, following her earlier triumph at the 123.ie National Senior Indoor Championships, where she secured the national title in dramatic fashion.
On that occasion, O’Sullivan went head-to-head with Sommer Lecky in a tense jump-off after both athletes cleared 1.75m, eventually claiming gold on countback.
