Mallow-Based EPS Nominated for Cork Chamber Large Company Award

Mallow’s EPS Group, the engineering and water infrastructure specialist, has been named a finalist in the Large Company of the Year category at the Cork Chamber of Commerce Company of the Year Awards 2026.

Founded in 1968, EPS provides end-to-end water and wastewater solutions to clients across Ireland, the UK and Europe, including utilities, local authorities, industry, and communities. The company designs, builds and operates treatment plants and associated infrastructure, employing more than 790 people and generating revenues of €194 million in 2024.

Speaking about the nomination, EPS Managing Director Patrick Buckley said:
“Being shortlisted for this award recognises the collective efforts of our people across Cork, Ireland and the UK and the impact of their work in supporting our clients, communities and industry at large. It’s a testament to the commitment, expertise and professionalism of our teams and I’m incredibly proud of what we continue to achieve together.”

He added:
“As we grow across Ireland, the UK and Europe, our roots remain firmly in Cork and we’re immensely proud to represent the county and its talent. For companies like EPS, growing nationally and internationally only happens when we’re strong at home, and Cork gives us that foundation, from here, we can compete anywhere.”

EPS has also put a strong focus on sustainability and innovation, measuring its carbon emissions since 2010 and achieving a 62% reduction in carbon intensity. Recent expansions include renewable and energy-efficient solutions such as solar pumping, PV energy generation, energy storage, EV charging, and point-of-use water treatment systems. Strategic acquisitions have also broadened the company’s capabilities, including Pedrollo Distribution, DPS, Ferrier Pumps, IPP, Flowmech, and Craigs.

Buckley concluded:
“We’re honoured to be shortlisted for Cork Chamber’s Large Company of the Year award. This recognition belongs to our team — from our apprentices to engineers, multi-disciplinary teams, and long-serving colleagues who help keep Ireland’s water infrastructure running every day.”

The awards ceremony will be held at Cork City Hall on 6 February, where EPS and other finalists will be formally recognised.
