Mallow native Kevin Fitzpatrick has signed for Treaty United, bringing his goalkeeping talents from UCC to the Limerick club.
The 22-year-old began his career with Mallow United, representing the club from the age of nine up to 18, before playing for his university side, UCC. Fitzpatrick has made nine appearances this season in the Beamish Stout Munster Senior League Premier Division and was a key figure for UCC last year, making 30 appearances across all competitions. This included appearances in the 2025 Sports Direct FAI Cup against Ringmahon Rangers and St Patrick’s Athletic, and he was part of the squad that won the O’Connell Cup, earning Man of the Match honours in a 2-0 play-off victory over Riverstown FC that secured Premier status for UCC.
Fitzpatrick also boasts international experience, having represented the Irish Colleges and Universities team alongside current Treaty United teammates Richkov Boevi, Colin Conroy and Steven Healy. He kept a clean sheet against Scotland last year.
Speaking to TreatyUnitedFC.com, Fitzpatrick said:
“I’m really happy to sign for Treaty United. The passion around the club and the support from everyone involved really stood out for me, and I’m excited to become part of that. I’m looking forward to getting to work and helping the club keep progressing.”
Manager Tommy Barrett added:
“He’s a new goalkeeper from UCC who brings a big presence. Kevin has a lot of potential and will compete with Jack.”
Mallow United AFC also congratulated their former player, saying:
“Kevin played with our club from the age of 9 up to 18. We want to wish him all the best in his future career in soccer.”
With his wealth of experience at both university and international levels, Fitzpatrick will look to make an immediate impact at Treaty United as he continues his footballing journey.
