The countdown is well and truly on to the finale of Mallow Chamber’s Christmas Prize Draw, one of the town’s biggest ever shop-local initiatives.
Designed to encourage people to support local businesses during the busy festive season, the draw will see more than €3,000 in prizes given away to shoppers in Mallow this December. Over 60 businesses across the town have come together in what Mallow Chamber has described as its largest-ever collaboration with the local retail and service sector.
The concept is simple: anyone who makes a purchase in a participating business receives an entry into that shop’s draw. Winners will be selected from each business, with the overall prize announcements taking place on Sunday, December 21. The closing date for entries is December 18.
From cafés, pharmacies and fashion outlets to hair salons, florists, hotels and homeware stores, the participating businesses reflect the diversity and strength of Mallow’s local economy. The initiative sends a clear message that Mallow is open for business this Christmas and that shopping locally delivers real benefits back into the community.
Mallow Chamber has thanked all participating businesses for getting behind the campaign and shoppers for their continued support, noting that the prize draw has generated a strong buzz across the town in the lead-up to Christmas.
With just days to go before entries close, shoppers are being encouraged to keep their receipts, enter in-store, and support local in the final push towards Christmas Day.
