Munster Bovine to Host Suckler Breeding & Management Webinar as Part of Ongoing Farmer Education Series

Munster Bovine is continuing its long-running programme of farmer education with the latest instalment in its popular webinar series, aimed at supporting suckler farmers across the region with practical, up-to-date advice.

The Munster Bovine Suckler Breeding & Management Webinar 2025 takes place on Wednesday, December 17th at 8pm and is expected to attract strong interest from farmers planning ahead for the coming breeding season.

The webinar will focus on improving herd performance and animal health, with expert contributions from leading figures in the sector. Dennis Howard will outline key strategies around synchronisation and suckler herd health, offering practical guidance that farmers can apply directly on farm. Meanwhile, Rose Goulding of NCBC will walk participants through the new suckler catalogue, providing advice on sire selection and how best to match genetics to individual herd goals.

The session will be hosted by Alan Twomey, Munster Bovine Geneticist, who has overseen a number of these well-established webinars, which have become a trusted source of information and discussion for livestock farmers.

Munster Bovine says the webinar is suitable for both experienced suckler producers and those looking to refine their breeding plans for the year ahead, with a strong emphasis on practical, farm-focused outcomes.

Meanwhile, Munster Bovine has also announced a new partnership with Dairy Women Ireland, becoming an official “In Your Field” sponsor. The organisation said it is proud to support Dairy Women Ireland and its work in championing and empowering women within the dairy industry.

Registration for the webinar is now open, with further details available online.
