North Cork educational psychologist and children’s author Ann Linehan has been honoured with a Golden Wizard Book Prize 2025 for her self-published children’s book, Young Yogi Adventures: Young Yogis Go to the Park.
Ann, who previously wrote the Sam and Sue Safety Series with Health and Safety Publications in Mallow, shared her delight on social media, saying:
“Great news today – I am beyond thrilled that ‘Young Yogi Adventures’ has received a Golden Wizard Book Prize 2025. Huge thanks to everyone who supported me in this venture.”
Young Yogi Adventures follows Milo, Annie, Jimmy, Molly, and Jack as they set off on a fun day in the park. Along the way, they meet friendly animals who teach them simple yoga poses, encouraging mindfulness, self-awareness, and movement in a playful way. The book also includes cut-out yoga cards so children can continue the fun at home.
Her passion for nurturing young minds shines through the book as she introduces children to mindfulness through storytelling, inspiring many more mindful journeys for young readers and the first book as many to follow in the genre.
