Mallow Castle is set to get a frightful makeover this October as the popular Haunted Walk returns for 2025. Organised by Cork County Council in collaboration with Mallow Arts Collective, CDYS, Avondhu Blackwater, Mallow Men’s Shed, and Mallow Chamber of Commerce, the event promises an afternoon of spooky fun for all ages.
On Monday, October 27th, visitors can explore the historic castle grounds from 3pm to 6pm, with the last entry strictly at 6pm. The first hour, from 3pm to 4pm, is dedicated as an Autism-Friendly Hour, giving all families a comfortable and enjoyable experience.
Attendees can expect an immersive Halloween adventure, featuring live actors, creepy pumpkins, menacing witches, demons, and skeletons, eerie fog, and spine-tingling music. It’s a carefully crafted mix of thrills and fun, designed to entertain without being too scary for younger visitors.
The Haunted Walk has become a highlight of Mallow’s calendar, drawing families from across the region to experience the castle in a completely different light. With interactive performances, spooky surprises, and the castle’s historic setting as the perfect backdrop, this year’s event promises to be one of the most memorable yet.
