Cork ITA are on top of the world after guiding Team Ireland to an incredible finish at the ITF World Championships 2025 in Poreč, Croatia, taking first place overall, a remarkable achievement for the Mallow-based club and Irish Taekwon-Do.
It was a week of triumph, dedication, and world-class performances. Evie Finucane and the Power Team captured gold, dazzling judges with their precision, strength, and teamwork, and securing their status as ITF World Champions.
Meanwhile, Thomas Fogarty and the Senior Male Team added to the celebrations with both a bronze and later a gold medal in their division, demonstrating remarkable composure and skill under pressure.
Cian Barrett also contributed to Ireland’s medal tally with a bronze, while Irina Todorović impressed with an outstanding performance on the floor, showcasing dedication and spirit even without a podium finish.
Master Mark Buckley, Senior Instructor at Cork ITA and National Team Coach, guided the athletes throughout the championships, nurturing the high standard of training and teamwork that has become synonymous with the club.
