The Mallow 10 Mile Road Race is set to return on Sunday, March 22nd, 2026, with a 10:30am start in Mallow, Co. Cork. Hosted by Mallow Athletic Club and proudly sponsored by Country Clean Recycling, the Mallow 10 has established itself as one of the most popular and competitive 10-mile road races in Ireland and a standout event on Munster’s racing calendar.
In recent national rankings of 10-mile races, the Mallow 10 has consistently performed strongly. In 2025, it held its position at 7th place nationally, highlighting both its reputation and its appeal to runners. Within Munster, where distance running continues to thrive, the race remains a leading event. Five of the top twenty 10-mile races in Ireland are held in Co. Cork, three of the top ten are Cork-based, and sixteen 10-mile races took place in Munster alone in 2025. While races such as the Frank Duffy 10 Mile in Dublin lead nationally with over 3,600 finishers, and the John Treacy Dungarvan 10 Mile holds the title as Munster’s largest 10-miler, the Mallow 10 continues to hold its own among Ireland’s elite events. National participation in the top 20 races grew by over 8.5% from 2024 to 2025, a trend the Mallow 10 is very much part of.
The 2026 edition promises another professionally organised event with all the features participants have come to expect. The course is accurately measured and Jones Counter certified, with chip timing for every runner. Participants will receive a race top, post-race refreshments, and prizes for top finishers and category winners. Free public parking is available in town, and the race benefits from strong local support, a fast, well-managed course, and a welcoming atmosphere that attracts competitive club runners, seasoned distance athletes, and recreational runners alike.
Entries for the Mallow 10 are available via Eventmaster. With its professional organisation, proven reputation, and central place in Munster’s running calendar, the Country Clean Mallow 10 remains a key event for anyone targeting a strong spring performance.
