Families and the school community in Mallow have reason to celebrate as Scoil Iosagáin Infant National School has been confirmed for the first phase of the National Development Plan school building programme.
The project will deliver a new extension, providing additional accommodation to meet growing demand and giving the youngest pupils modern, fit-for-purpose learning spaces.
Cllr Tony O’Shea welcomed the news, saying it is a very welcome investment in Mallow and shows a continued commitment to supporting education in the town. He added that he will continue to work to ensure the project moves ahead as quickly as possible for students, parents, and staff.
This development represents an important step forward for education in Mallow, offering improved facilities and much-needed capacity for the town’s youngest learners.
