Padel 100 Offers Free Court Installations and Revenue Opportunity to Schools Across North Cork

Schools across North Cork and beyond are being invited to take part in a new initiative that promises free sports facilities along with a potential new income stream.

Padel 100 has announced that it will install two professional padel courts at selected schools at no cost, giving students and staff exclusive access during school hours from 8am to 4pm, Monday to Friday. The company will cover all planning, insurance and ongoing maintenance, meaning there are no upfront or running costs for participating schools.

Under the proposed model, Padel 100 will open the courts to the wider community during evenings, weekends and school holidays, allowing the company to recoup its investment during peak playing times. In return, schools will receive a €2 royalty for every community booking made outside school hours. Based on an estimated 40 per cent usage rate, this could generate approximately €5,400 per year for a school, or more than €25,000 over five years.

As part of the initiative, Padel 100 will also introduce an annual “Padel100 School Tournament” at each participating location. The event will involve students, parents and members of the local community, with entry fees and sponsorship providing an additional fundraising opportunity for the school each year.

The early response has been resounding: “The response in the last 24 hours has been phenomenal! Looking forward to catching up with all of these schools and colleges nationwide over the next few days,” organisers said.

The company has stated that one school per town will be selected, with applications now open through its website. Organisers say the initiative aims to promote sport, health and wellbeing while creating a sustainable partnership between schools and the wider community.
