Two North Cork referees have made this years’ National Panel.
Both Conor Lane (Banteer/Lyre) & Ciarán O’ Regan (Ballyhea) have been included in both the national Football & Hurling Panels respectively.
This follows a rigourous fitness test in Dublin and a rules test where by refs must answer 47 questions correctly out of 50 in a 30 minute time limit.
Both refs have started strongly with Lane incharge of Mayo v Galway last week while O’ Regan has taken charge of both Mayo v Laois and Kerry v Westmeath in the Allianz Hurling League.
Conor and Ciarán are joined by Colm Lyons (Hurling) and Dave Murnane & James Regan (both Football) on the top panel.
A number of other Cork refs have made the National Support panel including Glanworth’s Ciarán Murphy (Football)
