New Captaincy Team to Guide Mallow Rugby’s Push for Success

Mallow Rugby Club has confirmed its leadership team for the 2025/26 season, with Micheál O’Callaghan named as Men’s Captain and Dylan Walsh appointed Vice-Captain. The pair will lead the Men’s 1st XV as they set their sights on honours in Division 1 of the Munster Junior League.

The new campaign kicks off this weekend as Mallow return to competitive action, with league fixtures and the County Cup on the horizon. Their opening clash sees them welcome Muskerry RFC to St Joseph’s Road on Saturday, where a strong home crowd is expected to get behind the team.

Alongside the senior squad’s preparations, the club is also focusing on its younger players. Coaches and committee members have encouraged all parents and supporters to play a positive role in creating the best possible environment for youth teams as they begin their own competitions.

With new leadership in place and the full backing of the club community, Mallow Rugby will be aiming to make this a season to remember both on and off the field.
