Mallow’s own Demi Isaac is set to take over 2FM’s weekday drive time alongside Mikey O’Reilly as regular host Doireann Garrihy goes on maternity leave.
The duo will kick off their new 3pm–6pm slot this Friday, bringing their signature energy and humour to thousands of listeners nationwide.
A 2019 graduate of Davis College, Isaac has been with 2FM since March, presenting the weekend 12–3pm show with O’Reilly. She described the new opportunity as “such a buzz,” adding, “We’ve got big shoes to fill while Doireann’s away, but we’re excited to give it our best shot and keep things ticking along until she’s back! Honestly, my bestie Mikey and I have become inseparable, every time we’re on air together it feels like we’re just having chats with all of you.”
The past few months have been a whirlwind for Isaac, who has covered major events including Electric Picnic and All Together Now. “It’s been non-stop fun and madness! I cannot wait for everyone to tune in and share the craic, the laughs, and the chaos Mikey and I bring to your weekdays,” she said to RTE social media.
Demi Isaac was named “one to watch in 2018” by the Irish Examiner and has also made her mark in television, with roles in Dancing with the Stars, Young Offenders, and Netflix’s The School for Good and Evil. With her infectious energy and passion for connecting with listeners, Isaac is ready to make the weekday drive slot her own.
