Mallow’s Ashgrove Renewables Roadshow Heads to Kilkenny for Home Energy Grants Event

Mallow-based Ashgrove Renewables is continuing its nationwide roadshow, this time coming to Kilkenny, the home of the cats. After successful, full-capacity sessions in Sligo and Limerick, the team is bringing its popular education series to Leinster, inviting homeowners, energy professionals, and anyone interested in home energy upgrades, SEAI grants, and home renovation to attend.

The event will cover Vacant and Derelict Property Grants, alongside the SEAI Community Energy Grant (CEG) and One Stop Shop (OSS) schemes, which support insulation and energy efficiency improvements. While Vacant and Derelict Grants focus on structural and finishing works, the CEG and OSS grants target energy upgrades, and in many cases, homeowners may qualify for both. Choosing the right grant pathway is essential, and Ashgrove Renewables’ team of experts will guide attendees through the options, explain how the schemes can work together, and help identify the most suitable solution for any project.

The Kilkenny event takes place on Monday, 9th February 2026, with registration and refreshments from 5:30pm to 6:30pm and the main presentation running from 6:30pm to 8:30pm at the Lyrath Estate Hotel, Paulstown Road, Lyrath, Kilkenny, R95 F685. Tea and coffee will be provided.

This session is aimed at homeowners, BER Assessors, TDs, City and County Councillors, architects, auctioneers, plumbers, project managers and builders, engineers, quantity surveyors, and other energy professionals. Attendees will learn how to access government grants for renovating vacant or derelict homes, including up to €70,000 from the Vacant and Derelict Grant and additional SEAI grants of up to €36,000 through the OSS or CEG schemes. The presentation will also cover the application process, practical tips, real-life case studies, and a Q&A session with Ashgrove Renewables’ experts.

By attending, participants will gain a clear understanding of the grant opportunities available, network with professionals and local representatives, and receive practical advice to make their home renovation or energy upgrade project a success.
