Mallow Town FC Continue Dream Start in Cork AUL Division 3

Mallow Town FC continued their impressive start to life in Division 3 of the Cork AUL with a 3–1 victory over Watergrasshill at their new home in Carhookill on Tuesday evening.

The home side showed grit and determination throughout, battling hard to secure their second win in as many games of their debut season. Mallow opened the scoring when Watergrasshill turned the ball into their own net, before Roger Meza Zapata and Tomas Cronin struck to put daylight between the teams.

The win leaves Town with a perfect record so far, an encouraging beginning for the men’s team as they continue to establish themselves in the AUL. The season had already started on a high note with a resounding 7–1 victory in their opening game against Kilbrittain Rovers.

The result also caps an unbelievable 12-year journey for Mallow Town FC. From starting with a single Under-7 team, the club has grown to 19 schoolboy and youth teams, creating a clear pathway into adult football and reflecting the steady growth, ambition, and community spirit that has defined the club’s rise.
