Mallow RFC is celebrating after being crowned Club Age-Grade Section of the Year at the 2025 Munster Rugby Awards.
The accolade recognises the outstanding work being carried out across the club, from thriving underage teams at U8 level right through to adult rugby, with both boys’ and girls’ teams continuing to grow.
The award also highlights the success of the Mallow Barbarians disability tag rugby team, which has gone from strength to strength and is now a vital part of the club’s identity.
Key to this achievement has been the club’s hugely successful Give It A Try programme, which has encouraged more girls into the sport, as well as the appointment of a new Spirit Officer, who has played an important role in embedding the Spirit of Rugby ethos across all teams.
The recognition is a tribute to the dedication of Mallow RFC’s many volunteers, coaches, and supporters, whose hard work and passion have helped create an inclusive, welcoming, and successful rugby environment.
For Mallow RFC, this award is not just a trophy but a proud moment that reflects the community spirit at the heart of the club.
