Retailers in Mallow have a unique opportunity this October to sharpen their skills, embrace new trends, and grow their businesses through the Retail Excellence Programme 2025, hosted at the Hibernian Hotel.
The programme is run by the Local Enterprise Office Cork North and West.
The hybrid programme combines in-person workshops and online sessions, giving local retailers access to national experts, practical strategies, and hands-on learning without leaving town. Participants will explore the latest retail innovations, learn to harness tools like Instagram Reels and AI for marketing, and gain essential insights into consumer rights, HR, and employment law.
The course, delivered by industry professionals James Burke, Evan Mangan, and James O’Leary, includes four half-day workshops, two in-person and two online, as well as a two-hour site assessment for each retailer. Following the assessment, each participant will receive a tailored action plan to implement improvements in their business.
Scheduled sessions in Mallow begin on Monday, October 13th with an in-person workshop from 9:30 to 12:30, followed by an online session on Tuesday, October 14th from 1:30 to 4:30. Another online session will take place on Tuesday, October 21st, also from 1:30 to 4:30, with the programme concluding with a second in-person workshop on Thursday, October 30th from 9:30 to 12:30.
By the end of the programme, retailers will gain actionable insights to boost profits, develop stronger digital marketing skills, integrate AI tools into daily operations, and build a local network of peers. Spaces are limited, and registration is free. Retailers can secure their place online here.
