Mallow Community Invited to Donate Pre-Loved Dolls for Easter Gift Initiative

A simple community initiative in Mallow is aiming to bring a little extra joy to children this Easter by giving old dolls a brand-new life.

Local creative maker Kinga Ekert, the founder of handmade doll brand Tuloop, is inviting people to donate pre-loved dolls that she will restore and upcycle before Easter.

Residents can drop unwanted dolls into a special collection box at Mallow Library until 15 March.

Kinga, who runs a one-person creative business in the town, specialises in handmade dollhouses, miniature furniture and doll restorations. Through this initiative, she hopes to combine creativity with community spirit by helping children whose families may be finding things difficult.

Once the dolls have been restored, they will be available again at Mallow Library from 30 March, where families who may be struggling to buy Easter gifts will be able to collect one.

Speaking about the initiative, Kinga said she hopes the community will come together to make the project a success.

The idea is simple: many homes have dolls that are no longer played with, but with a little care they can become special again for another child.

Any dolls that cannot be restored will still be donated to charity, ensuring that every donation continues to make a positive difference.

The project is being supported by Mallow Library, which has provided the collection space for the initiative.

People with questions about the project can contact Kinga through her social media pages.
