Mallow Chamber of Commerce has announced that the town’s Christmas lights will be switched on at Mallow Town Plaza on Sunday, November 23rd, ushering in the festive season with an evening of music, entertainment, and community celebration.
The annual “Light Up Mallow” event, supported by Cork County Council, will take place from 4 to 5pm and promises plenty of festive fun for all ages. Crowds can look forward to live performances, seasonal cheer, and a special visit from Santa Claus as Mallow marks the official start of Christmas.
The Chamber says the event is not only about spreading Christmas spirit but also about supporting the local economy during this busy time of year. “We’re encouraging everyone to come into town, enjoy the atmosphere, and shop local this Christmas,” a spokesperson said. “By supporting local businesses, we’re helping to keep Mallow and the wider North Cork area vibrant and thriving.”
More details about the event will be announced in the coming weeks, but organisers say this year’s celebration promises to be one of the most memorable yet as Mallow lights up for Christmas and the community comes together to support local.
