Mallow Arts Festival, led by talented local photographer Katrina Georgieva, recently hosted a well-supported Christmas charity photoshoot at the West End Art Studios in aid of the Children’s Cancer Fund.
The festive afternoon brought together families from across the town, with a warm Christmas atmosphere enhanced by face painting, a craft station and seasonal décor throughout the studio space. Tesco supported the event by providing sweets for children, while Dan Joe Fitzgerald, Mallow Chamber and Food Capers all played a role in assisting with decorations and logistics.
Adding to the charitable spirit of the day, local author Maureen Flynn was also present, selling copies of her acclaimed children’s book in support of Penny Dinners, giving attendees an opportunity to contribute to another worthy Cork-based cause.
Organisers praised the strong community turnout and the generosity shown on the day, with the event highlighting the power of local collaboration in supporting vital charities during the festive season.
The photoshoot formed part of Mallow Arts Festival’s ongoing commitment to using creativity and community engagement to support meaningful causes, while also bringing people together in a relaxed and joyful setting in the lead-up to Christmas.
