Mallow AC’s Paul Maloney put in a stellar performance to take first place at the picturesque Adare 10K, crossing the line in 30:59. The race attracted a competitive field of 827 finishers.
Set in the heart of one of Ireland’s most charming villages — and soon to host the 2027 Ryder Cup at Adare Manor — the course offered a scenic backdrop of tree-lined streets, historic architecture, and a welcoming atmosphere for both athletes and visitors.
Other standout performances from the district included Michael Herlihy of North Cork AC, who finished 12th in 33:29, and John McLoughlin of Duhallow AC, coming in 23rd in 36:40.
Runners from Duhallow AC, Mount Hillary AC, Shandrum AC, Buttevant AC, and Bweeng Trail Blazers were all in action, showcasing the strength and depth of local athletics across the district.
