Excitement is building as Mallow Musical Society prepares to bring its latest production, Twisted Ever After, to audiences this April at the The Glen Theatre Banteer.
Running from April 17th to April 19th, the production promises a lively mix of music, comedy, and storytelling, showcasing the depth of local talent that continues to thrive in the Mallow area. With opening night just weeks away, anticipation is growing for what organisers describe as a “fun-filled and slightly mischievous take on familiar fairy tales.”
Performances will take place on Thursday, April 17th at 8pm, Friday, April 18th at both 2.30pm and 8pm, and Saturday, April 19th at 2.30pm. Tickets are priced at €20, including booking fees, with group discounts available for parties of ten or more.
The society, which has built a strong reputation for high-quality productions since its inception, says the show will feature well-known musical numbers alongside original twists, offering something for all ages—though parents are advised that some adult humour and themes are included.
Audiences should also note that the performance includes strobe lighting effects and the use of a smoke machine, which may affect those with sensitivities. Programmes will be available on the night for €5, while a bar facility will also be in operation at the venue (cash only).
Located just outside the village of Banteer, the Glen Theatre remains a popular venue for community arts, drawing audiences from across the region. Organisers are encouraging early booking, with strong interest already reported ahead of opening night.
The continued success of groups like Mallow Musical Society highlights the vibrant cultural scene in North Cork, with local performers once again taking centre stage to deliver what promises to be an entertaining and memorable production.
