Killavullen’s Conor Shanahan Reflects and Ponders on Season Past with One Eye on 2026 Ambitions

Killavullen’s Conor Shanahan is taking a moment to reflect on a remarkable season in the Drift Masters GP, even as he begins to turn his thoughts toward the challenges and ambitions of 2026.

Taking to his socials, Shanahan advised that he had been quiet over the past couple of weeks to focus on himself and plan his next goals, reflecting on a challenging but ultimately rewarding season.

The highlight came during a memorable night in Poland, where Shanahan secured victory to become a two-time Drift Masters GP champion. “The work it takes from everyone involved in this team is incredible,” he said. “Having two cars inside the top three of one of the hardest championships in the world is an amazing achievement for the team.”

While the season had its challenges, Shanahan says he has greatly enjoyed the experience. “The adrenaline, the teamwork, and the dedication from everyone involved have made this a season I’ll never forget,” he added.

Gratitude is central to Shanahan’s reflections. He thanked his partners worldwide who have supported him and enabled him to become the driver he is today.

Looking ahead to 2026, the off-season is already in full swing, with Shanahan and his team working to make even more successful. While the decision about whether to continue chasing the Formula D championship remains under consideration, Shanahan says all options are being explored to determine the next best move.
