Homeowners planning renovations, upgrades or building projects will have an opportunity to speak directly with industry specialists at a free information evening in Mallow later this month.
The event, titled “Ask the Experts,” will take place at JMR House to Home Centre on Friday, 13 March from 7.30pm to 9pm.
Organisers say the evening is designed to bring together a range of home improvement professionals under one roof, giving attendees the chance to hear short talks and ask questions about different aspects of home improvement projects.
Among the speakers expected on the night are garden designer Jarlath White of JW Garden Design, renewable energy specialist Tony Macaulife of Ashgrove Renewables, building expert John Horgan of JMR House to Home Centre, window and door specialist Keith McCarthy of Senator Windows, and blinds specialist Colm Higgins of Right Price Blinds.
Topics due to be covered include tiling and flooring, garden design, home energy upgrades, blinds and shading solutions, and window and door improvements.
Ashgrove Renewables’ involvement reflects the company’s continued focus on homeowner education around energy upgrades and sustainability. The company has recently hosted similar public information events in Limerick and Kilkenny, with another event planned for Monday, 16 March at the Mullingar Park Hotel. Registration and refreshments for that event will take place from 5.30pm to 6.30pm, followed by a main presentation from 6.30pm to 8.30pm focusing on home energy improvements, available grants and practical steps homeowners can take to reduce energy costs.
Organisers of the Mallow event say the evening is aimed at anyone considering improvements to their home, whether undertaking a full renovation or smaller upgrade projects.
Attendees will receive a welcome pack with discount vouchers from participating businesses, and tea, coffee and light refreshments will be served.
Places are limited and advance registration is required.
