The Churchtown 10-Mile Road Race is back on the horizon, and with entries already filling up fast, organisers are expecting another sell-out event on Saturday, November 15th, 2025.
Now in its third year, the Churchtown 10-Mile has quickly earned a reputation as one of the best-organised and most enjoyable fixtures on the local running scene. This year’s race welcomes Egmont Agri Limited as the main sponsor, and the committee has extended its thanks to the O’Brien family for their continued support.
“A huge thanks to our main sponsor, @egmontagriltd. We are hugely appreciative of the support received from the O’Brien family throughout the years and we are delighted to have them on board for 2025,” said the organisers.
Churchtown’s location, just 4km west of the N20 Cork–Limerick road, makes it handy for runners travelling from across Cork, Limerick and beyond. The 10-mile route takes participants on a scenic loop to the north-east of the village, offering a mix of rolling countryside and a few testing climbs to keep things interesting.
Every finisher will receive a branded beanie hat, a handy prize for the winter months. There’s also a €150 bonus on offer for breaking the men’s or women’s course records. The current marks stand at 53:43 for men (Karl Fitzmaurice, Shannon AC, 2024) and 59:57 for women (Kealey Tideswell, Clonmel AC, 2024).
Entries close at 11:45pm on Wednesday, November 12th, with registration available through eventmaster.ie.
With strong community backing, a friendly atmosphere and a course that rewards effort and endurance, the Churchtown 10-Mile looks set to continue its rise as one of the region’s favourite road races.
