Charleville audiences are in for a treat as one of Cork’s funniest exports, Chris Kent, takes to the stage at The Schoolyard Theatre on Wednesday, December 4th at 8pm.
The Rebel County native, who swapped life as an electrician for the bright lights of stand-up, has been a mainstay of the Irish comedy circuit since 2009, when he first made waves by winning the Bulmers Nuttin’ But Funny competition. Known for his sharp wit and relatable humour, Kent has built a career blending laugh-out-loud storytelling with spot-on observations of everyday life.
In his recent offerings, Kent tackled the trials of turning 40, from wondering if life is possible without his phone telling him what to do, to reminiscing about the days of playing ‘Snake’ and building his own emojis.
With his trademark warmth and wit, he invites audiences to laugh with him at the absurdities of modern living.
Joining him on the night are Aaron McCarthy and **Paul Crowley, two stars of the Irish comedy scene who promise to add even more laughs to the bill.
Tickets are now on sale, and with Kent’s reputation for selling out shows, comedy fans are encouraged to book early to avoid disappointment.
