Churchtown 10-Miler Sprints Into Its Third Year in November

The Churchtown 10-Mile race is back this November, marking the third edition of what has quickly become a highlight on the local running calendar. After two successful years, excitement is already building for race day on Saturday, 15th November 2025.

Runners should note that entries close on Wednesday, 12th November at 11:45pm, with registration available at eventmaster.ie.

Just 4km west of the N20 Cork–Limerick road, Churchtown is easily accessible for participants travelling from across the region. The course itself is a 10-mile loop to the north-east of the village, offering a scenic yet testing challenge for all levels of runner.

Every entrant will receive a branded beanie hat – a welcome addition for the winter months. Organisers have also confirmed €150 course record prizes for the fastest male and female athletes. The times to beat are 53:43 for men, set by Karl Fitzmaurice (Shannon AC) in 2024, and 59:57 for women, set last year by Kealey Tideswell (Clonmel AC).

Meanwhile, all eyes this weekend turn to the ever-popular Charleville Half Marathon, which has once again sold out. Renowned for its fast, flat course, the race kicks off at 10am on Sunday.

For those looking to build their fitness ahead of November’s challenge, the Mallow Park Run provides the perfect stepping stone. It takes place every Saturday at 9:30am in the town park and is open to all abilities.
