Banteer cyclist Dillon Corkery has signed a two-year deal with Dutch World Tour team Picnic-PostNL, taking a significant step forward in his professional career.
Corkery joins fellow Banteer native Eddie Dunbar, who won two stages at the 2024 Vuelta a España and was crowned Irish National Time Trial Champion the same year.
The 26-year-old spent the 2025 season with French UCI Continental team St Michel-Preference Home-Auber 93, while also riding as a trainee for Picnic-PostNL. He will now make a permanent switch to the Dutch squad and begin winter training camps ahead of the 2026 season.
“I’m thrilled to make this move and grateful to everyone at Team Picnic-PostNL for giving me this opportunity at the World Tour level,” Corkery said. “This is the level I’ve been aiming for since I started cycling 17 years ago. It’s taken a lot of hard work, and I couldn’t have reached this point without the support of so many people along the way.”
Looking ahead, Corkery is eager to embrace new challenges and compete in the races he has long dreamed of. “New races, new challenges, new destinations… with the backing of Team Picnic-PostNL, I’m confident I can reach new heights,” he added.
Corkery joins a strong contingent of Irish riders on the World Tour, including Sam Bennett, Jamie Meehan, Ryan Mullen, Ben Healy, Darren Rafferty, and Archie Ryan.
