Ashgrove Renewables Headlines Free Limerick Event to Unlock Vacant & Derelict House Grants

Ashgrove Renewables of Mallow is bringing its energy efficiency roadshow to the Radisson Blu Hotel, Ennis Road, Limerick, on Monday, 24 November, from 6:30pm to 8:00pm.

The free event will guide homeowners on accessing funding for restoring vacant or derelict properties, with grants of up to €106,000 available.

Following a packed discussion in Sligo and recent participation at the Ideal Home Show at the RDS in Dublin, Ashgrove continues its mission to educate homeowners on grants and energy-efficient upgrades.

At the Dublin show, Jack O’Driscoll, Home Energy Advisor, speaking to Failte Solar social media, stressed the importance of starting any home energy upgrade with a technical assessment.

“A technical assessment guides the process and ensures you’re investing in the right measures for your property,” he said.
He also recommended a fabric-first approach.
“Before adding anything new, make sure the home can hold the heat it produces,” O’Driscoll added.

Tony McAuliffe, Client Relations Manager, highlighted the role of insulation for heat pumps to Failte Solar.

“If insulation isn’t up to scratch, your heat pump won’t run efficiently and costs will soar. PV panels work on almost any home and will cut your energy bills. If you already have a heat pump, PV panels are a smart investment.”

The Limerick event will feature Shane Murphy, Technical & Sales Director, and John Allen, Compliance Manager, who will guide attendees through grant applications, share real-life case studies, and answer questions.

Spaces are limited. Homeowners are encouraged to reserve their place early at www.ashgrove.ie/limerick
