A full day of free family entertainment and a large-scale outdoor cinema event will take place at Mallow Castle on Saturday, June 6th, as part of Cruinniú na nÓg 2026.
The event will begin with a Family Fun Day running from 1pm to 4pm, with free entry and no booking required.
Activities planned for the afternoon include live music, merry-go-rounds, Pirate Pete’s magical show, an animal roadshow, fire brigade displays, An Garda Síochána demonstrations, Civil Defence exhibits, and a range of additional family-friendly entertainment.

Organisers say the event is designed as a community-focused afternoon of entertainment for all ages in the grounds of Mallow Castle.
An outdoor cinema screening will take place later that evening, with gates opening at 6.30pm.
The film Wicked (PG) will be shown under the stars in the castle grounds. The screening is a free, ticketed event, with advance booking required due to limited capacity.
Attendees are encouraged to bring blankets and refreshments for the outdoor screening.
The event forms part of the national Cruinniú na nÓg programme, which celebrates creativity and youth participation through free cultural events across Ireland.
Mallow Castle will host both the daytime family activities and the evening cinema screening, with organisers highlighting it as a major addition to the summer events calendar.
