Mallow train services to be replaced by buses this Easter weekend

Rail passengers in Mallow are being advised of major disruption this Easter weekend, with train services set to be replaced by buses as part of ongoing works on the Cork Area Commuter Rail programme.

The changes will be in place from Saturday, April 4 to Easter Sunday, April 5, affecting both commuter and intercity routes in and out of Cork.

Commuter services operating between Cork and Mallow, as well as routes to Cobh and Midleton, will run as bus transfers on a revised timetable for the duration of the works.

Intercity passengers travelling between Cork and Dublin Heuston or Tralee will also be impacted, with bus transfers operating between Cork and Mallow, while train services will continue as normal from Mallow onwards.

Passengers are being urged to allow extra travel time and check updated timetables before travelling.

The works form part of ongoing improvements under the Cork Area Commuter Rail programme, aimed at enhancing capacity and reliability across the network.
