Riders from Kanturk Cycling Club produced a series of strong performances at the Sliabh Luachra Clasaicí, while Mallow cyclist Rory Condon also featured prominently in the top category race.
The event, held in Co. Cork, attracted a competitive field of around 50 riders racing across several categories over six demanding laps.
In the Denis Sheehan Cup (C1), the top category race of the day, Rory Condon, racing with Zappi Racing Team, delivered a strong performance to finish fourth against a highly competitive field.
Victory went to Evan Keane of Orwell Wheelers Cycling Club, who claimed his first win of the season. Keane finished ahead of Donald Scully from Team Dan Morrissey Cycling Team, with Eoin Clifford of VeloRevolution Cycling Team taking third place.
The race featured a particularly strong contingent from Burren Cycling Club, including experienced riders Daire Feeley, Paul Kennedy, and Mark Shannon, making the result all the more impressive for the leading riders.
There were also excellent results for riders from Kanturk Cycling Club across other categories.
In the Willie Reen Cup (C2), Kristapus Martinkos finished fourth, while teammate Arnaud Dumoulin secured fifth place, both riding under the Kanturk CC O’Leary Stone banner.
Meanwhile, Stephen Gillman delivered a podium finish in the John Fleming Cup (C3), taking second place behind Tony Kenneally of Dungarvan Cycling Club.
The results highlight the strong presence of Kanturk riders in the regional racing scene as the cycling season begins to gather pace.
