The Mallow Chamber of Commerce has officially welcomed Joyce A. Good Hammond as its new president, following the completion of Estelle Varney’s two-year term.

The Chamber held a small event to mark the passing of the Chain of Office, recently, celebrating the transition in leadership and recognising the contributions of both outgoing and incoming presidents.
A spokesperson for the Chamber expressed gratitude to Estelle Varney for her dedication over the last two years. “A massive thank you to Estelle, who has done trojan work in the role, supporting the business community and promoting growth in Mallow,” the Chamber said.

Joyce A. Good Hammond, a solicitor and partner at Hammond Good LLP, Solicitors and Notaries Public in Mallow, has taken on the position of President with a clear focus on supporting local businesses. “I understand the challenges facing both retail and commercial industries and am committed to advocating for the business community of Mallow to the best of my ability,” she said. “Our aim is to keep business in Mallow and to keep Mallow in business.”
The Chamber extended a warm welcome to Joyce, wishing her every success in her new role. The organisation emphasised that her leadership will continue to strengthen the local business ecosystem, building on the work of her predecessor while exploring new opportunities for growth, collaboration and community support.
The appointment comes at a pivotal time for Mallow, as the town’s Chamber looks to reinforce its support for businesses navigating a dynamic economic environment, ensuring that Mallow remains a thriving centre for commerce in North Cork.
