Mallow’s beloved Keppler’s Cellar Bar is set to reopen its doors on Thursday, 9th January, marking the return of a local favourite to the town’s hospitality scene.
The bar, known for its rich history and welcoming atmosphere, will operate on a new schedule, opening Thursdays and Fridays from 4pm and Saturdays and Sundays from 12 noon. Patrons can look forward to enjoying drinks and food from an eagerly anticipated new menu, which is due to be revealed soon.
This reopening comes alongside the retirement of the upstairs venue, Ocana’s, which, along with its predecessor Marikibo, had been a central part of Mallow’s nightlife in recent years. The decision to retire Ocana’s was prompted by shifting demands and a need to take Keppler’s in a fresh direction.
With its return, Keppler’s Cellar Bar aims to recapture the charm and energy of its heyday. There’s already speculation about the comeback of its iconic Thirsty Thursdays, which drew crowds in the past and remain a fond memory for locals.
Keppler’s Cellar Bar invites the community to rediscover its unique ambiance and promises an exciting new chapter for this cherished establishment.
